A few of us took a trip over to Stony Lonesome for the weekend. The last time we visited the park was right at the start of the pandemic, so we were anxious to get back over to Bremen to hit some trails that we had been talking about. It was wet and we did a TON of winching, but we had an awesome time. This was my first time getting the CJ on the trail since I bought it 11 months ago and I had a blast in that thing! Totally different experience than my TJ and now I can't quit thinking about how much fun I had in it.

Kyle did some great driving and crawled over some big rocks. On the flip side, he also smashed the rear corner right behind the back door. It was kinda bad, but he treats it like an XJ so he was OK with with. Actually, he already has the Motobilt corners on the way so there's that.

Stopher chose some tough lines and followed the bigger tire Jeeps all day without hesitation. It's amazing how being nimble on the trail is always such a big advantage.

Michael enjoyed his first wheeling trip. He has a TJ Rubi that he picked up a few months ago and he is about to start building it for the trail, so we are pumped to see that in action as well.

Kent couldn't get his 4 door JK to the park, but he rode shotgun with me in the CJ. With all the stuff that we rode, I'm sure it was killing him not having his Jeep. He was a trooper though and we had fun putting some trail time on Frank.

Thanks for watching and I hope you enjoy our Fall trip to Stony Lonesome. If you are in northern Alabama, definitely put this park on your list. I'm ready to go back and hit the trails that I mapped out but didn't have time to ride. Cheers!

Stoney Lonesome Jeep Riding | CJ5 Shake Down | Rock Creek, Yella Hammer, Yeti Bottoms, Bootleg Creek

A few weeks ago, Dewey hit me up and said that he, Chris, and David were headed to Hawk Pride. I told him that as long as the van was ready by then that I could make it. I mentioned it to the rest the Pine Belt Jeep Club group and it quickly turned into a big group of Mississippi folks heading to Alabama for a weekend of riding. We pretty much had the park to ourselves and the weather could not have been better.

Our trip from Hattiesburg to Hawk Pride was delayed a few hours by some van issues, but once that was fixed it was good to go and we made it to HPO without any extra hiccups. We did some good riding on Saturday, but had multiple breakages throughout the day. We were, for the most part, able to get the issues fixed on the trail so that they could keep wheeling for the day. The only Jeep that we had to take back to camp early was Stopher's Jeep with its broken axle shaft.

After an exhausting day of dealing with problems, we headed to Rattlesnake Saloon for dinner and drinks. We headed home Sunday morning, but that journey wasn't free of its own issues. My trailer blew a wheel bearing just south of Tupelo, so Kent and I had to run to Napa and do a roadside repair. After another hour or hour and a half delay, we were back on the road. Not only did I have an issue, but David and Stacy had a flat in their RV and had to wait a couple of hours for roadside assistance to save the day.

All in all it was an action packed trip, that was full of surprises. We lived through it and gained a few more camp fire stories in the process.

Enjoy the video of a bunch of Mississippi guys bashing their Jeeps against the gnarly Alabama terrain. I'd say HPO won this round, but we will be back for more.
